Short Week

Over the weekend we had our engagement shoot. Oh. My. God. Our friend that took the pictures absolutely blew my mind. We cannot thank her enough! She did such an incredible job. Pictures coming soon!

In the meantime, watch this short video and tell me it doesn't bring you to tears. I sobbed like a 3 year old who was just denied a lollipop.

I watched this and was reminded to not get so wrapped up in planning the wedding...you have to plan for the marriage too. Life will definitely throw us some stuff in our marriage but I can only hope we handle it like this couple.

-1 Anniversary

One year from today, I will become Mrs. Lindsay McKay...hey, that rhymes! We are celebrating by having a fancy dinner at the revolving restaurant in the city. The view should be wonderful on this overcast, craptastic day!

Let's hope this stuff clears out for tomorrow's photo shoot. (This is me crossing my fingers xxxxxxxxx)

Setting the Stage...

These carnival engagement shoots are absolutely adorable...I can't wait til we do ours this weekend! Hopefully the weather cooperates. St. Louis is about to get pummeled with storms today thru tomorrow...It may get swampy for the fair. Thank God we aren't having an outdoor wedding, I'm pretty sure I'd have an anxiety attack.

Unique Engagement Photos

It was hard to come back to work this morning after my extended Labor Day Weekend...but I'm here. We have a super busy week including taking our engagement pictures! We'll be headed to a local fair with a friend who will document the day for us...she is super talented. Check her out here.

Extended Weekend...

What are your plans for this long weekend? I decided to take the day off and catch up on some glorious housework...jealous? My sweet fiance comes home tomorrow from a business trip. I don't know if I'd classify it as "business" in that he stayed at the famous Chateau Marmont all week.

I going for a night on the town--not as classy as Beverly Hills but I'll make it work.
